You might remember that I was ambitiously knitting away at a hooded cableknit sweater for DH's cousin's first baby. Well, that plan kinda stopped a while back. I basically started thinking that unless they knit themselves, most people can't really understand the amount of effort and care that goes into knitting items as gifts. I decided to knit something simpler so that if DH's cousin didn't show much enthusiasm for my handmade gift, it wouldn't send me into some kind of manic killing spree.
Knitta Sista N had knit the Petal Bib from One Skein months ago and I had thought it adorable. So I decided on that. DH's cousin gave birth on July 7 but since we haven't even heard what she's named the baby, I am sooooooo glad that I stopped knitting that sweater.
I had started but was a bit stuck with the instructions...
So I took my bib to the Knitta Sistas. Knitta Sista J really helped me out at Knitting Night to figure out the instructions (even though I ended up frogging it and starting over - too much giggling; not enough concentration). And although I didn't believe it while I was stuck... In the end, Sista N was right - it is a super quick knit. I ended up making two bibs.
Here's Miffy modeling one of the bibs for us...
